TITLE: Add/Drop Course
PURPOSE: To establish policy for students adding or dropping a course in the John D. Bower School of Population Health.
POLICY: A Bower School of Population Health student may register for a course(s) during the registration period specified by the academic calendar.
After the open registration period has closed, a student who is already registered may add a course until the day specified by the academic calendar.
Once a student has registered for a course, the student may drop a course with the approval of the student’s mentor/program director and dean or designee on or before the day specified by the academic calendar. If the course is dropped before the specified date, the course will not be recorded on the student’s record. A course dropped after the day specified by the academic calendar will be recorded as a withdrawal (W) on the student’s record. A student can drop a course and receive a W at any time until the submission of the final grade for that course. Once the final grade has been submitted, dropping a course is not permitted.
SCOPE: All SOPH students
