REVIEW PERIOD: 1 year

TITLE: Academic Probation

PURPOSE: To establish criteria for Academic Probation in the John D. Bower School of Population Health.

POLICY:  All graduate students are expected to remain in Good Academic Standing. A student who is not in Good Academic Standing is placed on Academic Probation.

A student placed on Academic Probation must remediate their academic standing within the period of time established by the Bower School of Population Health below. Failure to do so may result in dismissal.

  1. A PhD student placed on Academic Probation will have three (3) semesters to obtain Good Academic Standing status.
  2. A MS student placed on Academic Probation will have two (2) semesters to obtain Good Academic Standing status.

Individual programs may have specific academic requirements in addition to those stated in this policy.
