TITLE: Academic Achievement Program
PURPOSE: To outline the Academic Achievement Program in the John D. Bower School
of Population Health.
POLICY: When a student is experiencing academic
difficulties, the Bower School of Population Health may require the student to participate in the Academic
Achievement Program.
During the
first semester a student is enrolled in a degree-seeking program, a student who
earns a grade of āCā or below on any exam or assignment, will be referred for
inclusion in the Academic Achievement Program by their program director.
Within
two (2) weeks of the date of notification, the student must make an appointment
with the Office of Academic Support to discuss the appropriate academic
assistance that is available to them.
In addition, the student may be referred
to Student Employee Health or other resources.
After meeting with the Office of Academic
Support, the student should maintain regular communication with their Program
Director regarding their academic performance.
