TITLE: Admissions Standards
PURPOSE: This policy establishes criteria to meet requirements for documentation and publication of admission standards and procedures for UMMC schools. The criteria set forth below are in addition to those currently in existence by virtues of law or IHL board policy.
POLICY: The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) is subject to Policy 601 (Admissions Standards) from the Policies and Bylaws of the Board of Trustees of the State Institutions of Higher Learning, which establishes minimum standards for admission and for publication of admission policies. The UMMC’s principal and continuing mission is to train researchers and health care professionals for Mississippi. To this end, each school or program at the UMMC shall document the admissions standards and procedures for that school or program in the UMMC Bulletin. Additional documentation shall be found on the UMMC and individual school/program web pages at http://www.umc.edu.
