Building a Stronger Future for Nursing in Mississippi, funded by a $3.8 million grant from the Bower Foundation, has graduates who are now nursing educators. The project provided scholarships and stipends for registered nurses to earn their MSN degrees at the UMMC School of Nursing.

Nathan Campbell graduates this week with a PhD in experimental therapeutics and Pharmacology, but his start in the field of research began when he was just a sophomore in high school. After 11 years of dedication to obstetrics research, he will continue his work at UMMC.
