When breast or ovarian cancer silently lurks in a woman’s body, early detection is paramount. UMMC’s Cancer Center and Research Institute is partnering with several other organizations to offer free screening for women who qualify August 20 at the Jackson Medical Mall.
The sold-out comedy show set for later this week at Hattiesburg’s historic Saenger Theater is an annual fundraiser that benefits Children’s of Mississippi among other causes. Laughs 4 Life’s contributions to the state’s only children’s hospital will surpass $200,000 with funds raised through this year’s event.
