Dr. Katelyn Armstrong, a nurse practitioner in the pediatric endocrinology clinic, was recognized on a national stage by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing for her work while a doctoral student in the School of Nursing.

Mississippi-born philanthropists and entrepreneurs James L. “Jim” and Donna Barksdale were honored at UMMC last Thursday for their contributions benefitting diverse and underrepresented communities.

Dr. Richard Glenn Hutchinson of Madison, professor of medicine, director of the Preventive Medicine Cardiology Program and principal investigator of numerous research studies on cardiovascular disease prevention at UMMC, died Jan. 27. He was 86.

UMMC's Pillars Awards celebrate Medical Center staff and the surrounding community's efforts towards creating a diverse and inclusive environment, while a statewide business publication includes a Children's of Mississippi leader among a list of CEO's throughout the state.
