Nine-year-old Marsha Jones is unique in her love for visiting the dentist. Even after having terrible pain that led to eight baby teeth being pulled during the course of a few months, Jones said she loves everything about going to see Dr. Susmitha Koti, chief pediatric dentistry resident in the pediatric dentistry clinic.

Dr. Karen Hand knew early in her academic career that she wanted to become a surgeon. She was encouraged to go into orthopaedic surgery, a male-dominated field in this region, from one of her mentors, Dr. George Russell. As she pursues a hand fellowship, the married mother of three loves her profession and the flexibility it can allow for family time.
