A confetti cannon heralded the announcement of another half-million-dollar year of the Mississippi Miracles Radiothon. A dozen of the Radio People’s largest stations broadcast interviews with patients of Batson Children’s Hospital and their families during the 18th annual fundraiser, which took place for the first time in the student union.

For some people, allergy season is year-round, while others only suffer with symptoms during the spring. A Medical Center expert says those who bear the burden of allergies can lighten their load by being proactive about their allergy triggers and choosing over-the-counter remedies wisely.

In many ways, Dr. Manisha Sethi’s family shaped the way she practices medicine today. From her parents and sister, she learned to value service to others, to persist in the pursuit of excellence and to put the phrase “that’s impossible” in its place.

Medical Center leadership is proud to acknowledge those employees who will celebrate service anniversaries during the week of March 4-10.
