Drs. Frank and Ann Critz, both trained by Drs. Richard and Suzanne Miller during medical school, have honored the groundbreaking pediatric specialists with endowed chairs in surgery and pulmonology. The gifts will support educational opportunities, research and training in those areas.

Mississippian Caleb Rich received a lifesaving stem cell transplant at UMMC and now hopes his small part in a documentary will encourage others to sign up for bone marrow and stem cell registries. He met his donor, now a California resident, as part of the documentary.

As a child in India, Deepti Patki always knew she wanted to learn classic Indian dance. Her passion galvanized her mother and sister to find the perfect dance guru to teach her. Today a clinical research coordinator for the Department of Emergency Medicine, Patki is sharing her talents with metro-area children of Indian descent.
