Pancreas-kidney transplant ends years of suffering for Delta resident

Decades as a diabetic left Tippo resident Tim Murphree weak, painfully thin and on dialysis that kept him constantly nauseated. But a flyer he spied at UMMC Grenada’s blood laboratory changed his life. Murphree discovered the hospital’s abdominal transplant clinic and in June received a new pancreas and kidney in Jackson. Today he feels great and has planned a cruise with his daughter to celebrate his new life.
