Doctors learn plenty of science during medical school, but that doesn’t make them scientists. With Mississippi facing a lack of clinical researchers, the School of Graduate Studies in the Health Sciences’ new Master of Science in Clinical Investigation Program will help fill the gap, training health care providers to lead clinical research efforts.

It's not just a must, it's a requirement: Every UMMC employee is expected to to either wash their hands or "foam in" every time he or she enters a patient room. Ditto for when he or she leaves. To protect patients and themselves - and to prevent the spread of infections - employees need to renew efforts to wash their hands every time, all the time.

Medical Center leadership is proud to acknowledge those employees who will celebrate service anniversaries during the week of Sept. 25-Oct. 1.
