Among the Medical Center’s transformative leaders, few have left bigger marks than Dr. James Keeton and Dr. Dan Jones. To honor their achievements and character, the impressions they’ve made have been translated - literally - onto canvas.

When a woman goes to her annual gynecologist appointment, she expects routine care, including several diagnostic tests. But the nation has no standard of care for gay or bisexual men - many of whom are at high risk for sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV. A blue-ribbon panel co-chaired by UMMC’s Dr. Leandro Mena is changing that landscape with a first-ever standard of care for men who have sex with men.

Innovation is key in today’s digital environment, and the same holds true for academia. With the introduction of digital credentialing, UMMC continues to be on the leading edge of next-generation education.
