Program Overview

The mission of the graduate Neuroscience program is to prepare students for tomorrow’s careers in neuroscience.

We offer a comprehensive curriculum in which we:
  • Teach fundamental neuroscience concepts that will form the basis for in-depth research and further study;
  • Provide experience in transferable skills, including grant and manuscript writing, oral presentation, and critical thinking skills;
  • Provide opportunities for teaching lectures to undergraduate students and students in professional schools;
  • Provide exposure to and information about career opportunities and professional development.

Students engage in scientific research from the first day in the program:
  • Students engage in short 5-week rotations in the first two semesters and semester-long rotations or dissertation research after the first two semesters.

Program atmosphere

We are a relatively young and small program with emphasis on providing support towards each individual student's career goals.
