Dr. Sajani (Jeni) Tipnis is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at UMC and the Assistant Dean for Curriculum in the School of Medicine. She was previously medical director for the NICU at Wiser Hospital for Women and Infants. Dr. Tipnis has a strong interest and passion for medical education. She is currently leading many initiatives for changes in the School of Medicine curriculum. She also enjoys teaching medical simulation and is partnering with others in the NICU to develop a simulation curriculum for the Newborn Center. Prior her arrival at UMC, Dr. Tipnis received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and then completed a residency in general pediatrics and fellowship in neonatology at the University of California San Diego. She returned to the Medical College of Wisconsin where she was Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, a neonatologist, Assistant Clerkship Director for Pediatrics, and Medical Director at Aurora Summit NICU. She then returned to San Diego, and worked as a neonatologist at the University of San Diego, and was an interim course director for the Clinical Foundations Course.
