Varsha Manucha, M.D., is a Clinical Professor in the Anatomic Pathology at The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC). She earned her MD from Lady Harding Medical College, Delhi University in India, and, completed her residency training at Boston University followed by fellowships in Surgical Pathology with Dr. Steven Silverberg and Cytopathology at the University of Maryland. Dr. Manucha is board-certified in Anatomic Pathology and Cytopathology. At UMMC, Dr. Manucha leads the histology/surgical pathology division and leads Head and Neck pathology and Urologic pathology subspecialty sections. Dr. Manucha’s expertise and research interest is in non-GYN cytology, head and neck/salivary gland, and urologic pathology. She has conducted microscopic workshops in the Annual meetings of the American Society of Cytopathology (ASC) and conducts teaching sessions (didactic and glass slides) for pathology residents in Delhi, India. She is a member of the clinical practice committee of ASC and is a member of the USCAP abstract review board in the Genitourinary Pathology category. She is passionate about the practice of patient-centric pathology, quality improvement/assurance and test utilization in surgical pathology and cytopathology. Dr. Manucha is committed to provide quality and timely diagnostic pathology services and extend her knowledge to the pathologists of tomorrowOutside the hospital, she enjoys painting, reading, hiking and spending time with her family.
