Carter, MD, co-director of the Institute for Firearm Injury Prevention (IFIP) and Injury Prevention Center (IPC), professor of emergency medicine and professor of health behavior and health equity at the University of Michigan Medical School and School of Public Health, will present the Mississippi Center for Violence Research virtual series, "Awareness Today for a Safer Tomorrow," at noon Wednesday, July 22, online via Webex.This series provides an opportunity to learn about multidisciplinary approaches to violence prevention. Participants will explore how education, collaboration and community engagement can help create safer environments and reduce violence. Join us for a discussion of the causes of violence, evidence-based prevention strategies and ways individuals can contribute to positive change.
