Application Information

Eligibility criteria

Eight (8) individuals from underrepresented backgrounds who have an interest in obesity research will be accepted annually into the OHD PRIDE program through a competitive review process.

To be eligible to participate in the program, you must be:

  • a transitioning postdoctoral fellow OR an early-career faculty member with a discernable interest in obesity research;
  • a faculty member or a graduate of an HBCU;
  • an individual from one or more groups identified as underrepresented in the biomedical, clinical, behavioral or social sciences (see NIH Notice NOT-OD-15-053); and
  • an United States citizen or have permanent resident status at the time of application.

Application process

The application process to the OHD PRIDE Program will be managed through the Coordination Core of the NHLBI-sponsored Programs to Increase Diversity among Individuals Engaged in Health-Related Research (PRIDE).

Eligible applicants will have to complete and submit a PRIDE Pre-Application Form through the PRIDE Coordination Core (CC). Washington University, St. Louis, MO. Email for information.
