The ANDHI Study is researching a potential new treatment option. About 800 people with severe and uncontrolled asthma from around the world will take part in this study.

Who can participate?

The study includes partners who meet certain age- and health-related issues, including:

  • You are 18-75 years old.
  • Symptoms include shortness of breath or trouble breathing, despite using regular asthma medication for the past 12 months or longer.
  • You have had two or more asthma attacks in the past 12 months, despite using regular asthma medication.

What does participation involve?

If the study is right for you and you choose to take part, you can expect the following:

  • 11 visits to the study center and one telphone follow-up visit. 
  • Random assignment to receive the study medication or a look-alike placebo. You also will remain on your current asthma medication during your participatin in the study.
  • Your study doctor will monitor you closely throughout the study to determine if you have any reactions to the study medicine.
  • All study drugs, examinations and medical care related to the study will be provided at no cost. Compensation is offered.
