Obesity

Obesity means that you have too much body fat, and obesity increases your risk for chronic disease including heart attack, type 2 diabetes and chronic renal failure. Low or high birth weight increases the risk for development of obesity. Mississippi has the highest rate of obesity in the nation with greater than 35% of our population considered obese.
