The Cardiovascular-Renal Research Center offers the following series:
The Cardiovascular Renal Research Center sponsored a series of four visiting presentations in February to spotlight cardiovascular disease research and to raise awareness of the nationwide problem of heart and blood vessel diseases.
The "Innovative Methods" seminar series offers a unique opportunity to enhance research for CRRC investigators. Top leaders in the biomedical research field are invited to speak on novel or emerging technologies that could help advance cardiovascular and renal research at UMMC. Invited speakers are encouraged to provide a workshop level seminar that provides more technical details compared to lecture type seminar. The seminar series is held every two-three months and usually meets at 1-2 p.m. Thursdays in G451-04.
The purpose of the WIP seminar series is to provide researchers an opportunity to update CRRC investigators on current research projects, promote collaboration, and obtain constructive feedback on future directions. The WIP seminar series also provides a forum to update CRRC investigators of emerging technologies and methods offered through UMMC Core facilities (e.g. Genomics, Mass Spec, Flow Cytometry, etc.). At each WIP, two CRRC investigators are scheduled to present. Each investigator has 15 minutes for presentation, followed by 15 minutes for discussion. The WIP seminar is held from 1-2 p.m. Thursdays in G451-04.
