Rivard gives presentation at NIH
Dr. Andrew L. Rivard, assistant professor of radiology, presented "Building of a Cardiac Imaging Program in Mississippi: Challenges and Successes" May 2 at the National Institutes of Health in the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute at Bethesda, Md.
Rivard's talk focused on the growth of advanced cardiac imaging using CT and MRI at the Medical Center with a challenge to provide excellent quality imaging. His presentation emphasized a team approach with the Department of Anesthesia to provide pediatric anesthesia for congenital heart disease.
Rivard also toured the cardiac imaging and critical care facilities at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
