AHA/ASA credits UMMC for meeting guidelines

Coleman also presented a 2013 Get with the Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus Achievement Award to Neal Kiihnl, manager of the UMMC Stroke Program, at the meeting.
Get With The Guidelines is a hospital-based quality-improvement program that ensures hospitals consistently care for cardiac and stroke patients following the most up-to-date guidelines and recommendations. The program addresses coronary artery disease, heart failure and stroke.
The goal of the initiative is to improve the quality of life and help reduce deaths and disability among patients with heart disease and stroke. (Enlarge Image)
