The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) and Mississippi Children’s Home Services (MCHS) to announce new partnership, The Children’s Collaborative, which creates a state-wide, integrated system of behavioral health assessment and care that is accessible and community-based.

Scheduled speakers include Governor Phil Bryant, MCHS chief executive officer Dr. John Damon, UMMC chief of developmental and behavioral pediatrics Dr. Susan Buttross and UMMC professor of psychiatry Dr. David Elkin.
Parents of children with behavioral health issues like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays and other conditions often encounter great difficulty gaining timely access to the diagnostic and treatment services they need. This collaborative, supported by Medicaid, is an innovative solution to this problem.
