WHAT: AirCare helicopter, crew to take part in the Great American Safety Drive’s Safety Stop in Tupelo

WHEN: TOMORROW, Tuesday, June 10 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., lunch at 11 a.m.

WHERE: Tupelo Automobile Museum, 1 Otis Blvd., Tupelo

WHY: Local air and ground medical-transport personnel and equipment will join the Great American Safety Drive for its stop at the Tupelo Automobile Museum. Members of the public are invited to attend. 

The cross-country drive began in Santa Monica, California on May 31 and will end later this month in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Established by the MedEvac Foundation, an industry non-profit, the drive promotes awareness of the industry’s commitment to safety and to raises funds for safety research, education and special events.

At the Tupelo stop, the Mississippi Association of Air Medical Providers will present the MedEvac Foundation with a $2,000 check. While the AirCare helicopter’s presence is weather dependent, the Tupelo event is rain or shine.
