Prevent Child Abuse America Chapter formed in Mississippi

WHAT: Founding of Mississippi’s chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America in cooperation with the Children’s Justice Center at UMMC.
 
WHEN: Noon, Tuesday, April 2
 
WHERE: Mississippi Capitol 2nd floor rotunda, Jackson 
 
WHY: Jim Hmurovich, president and CEO of Prevent Child Abuse America, will found the organization’s Mississippi chapter, the 50 in the U.S. As well, Hmurovich will honor Dr. James Keeton, UMMC vice chancellor for health affairs, and select Mississippi lawmakers for passing legislation that ensures protection in Mississippi of children who are abused.
