Employee Relations

It is the mission of HR - Employee Relations to promote a work culture that aligns with the UMMC mission, values and goals. A division within the Department of Human Resources, we shall assist all university employees with performance and staffing concerns to include workers compensation and leave benefits, conflicts in the workplace, and the creation and enhancement of a productive work environment. We will also advocate on behalf of the institution in issues relating to Unemployment and Equal Employment Opportunity.

The Employee Relations division encourages and strengthens communication between employees and management at all levels, offering confidential consultation to both employees and management, and workplace interventions. We uphold and safeguard the proper application of all regulatory requirements and institutional policies, establish and heighten mutual trust and acceptance within the campus community, and provide fair, reliable, compliant and effective solutions in a timely manner.
