One-Eighty Logo

Take a 180° turn toward a better life.

Do you or someone you love struggle with alcohol, drugs, or prescription medications? If your answer is yes, we can help. At the University of Mississippi Medical Center—Grenada, we help people turn their lives around.

One-Eighty is a hospital-based, inpatient medical service for withdrawal from alcohol, opioids, and other drugs, including prescription medications. This completely confidential medical service is available at UMMC Grenada.

Monitored, Medical Withdrawal

Those experiencing symptoms of acute withdrawal can receive care in the safe environment of UMMC Grenada. As part of a hospital service, patients receive physician-directed, skilled nursing care around the clock. A typical hospital stay is three days to ensure the patient is medically stable.
  • We provide assistance with planning for follow-up care after discharge.
  • Scheduled admissions are voluntary and planned.
  • We accept Medicaid, Medicare, most insurance plans, and private pay.

Is One-Eighty™ right for you?

Our One-Eighty program specializes in the medical care of persons experiencing withdrawal from alcohol and drugs. It is not appropriate for patients in advanced stages of withdrawal who need emergency care. Although we do help patients plan for follow-up care after discharge, we do not provide outpatient counseling, rehab, psychiatric, or behavioral care services.
