Director, RN-MSN Program
Dr. Robin Wilkerson is professor of nursing, assistant dean for the Oxford campus and the director of the RN-MSN program at the University of Mississippi School of Nursing. She also is project director/principal investigator of the HRSA funded Mississippi Accelerated DNP Pathways Integrating Interprofessional Education (MAD PIPE) grant. Her clinical expertise is in the area of children/adolescents and their families, and she completed a pre-doctoral fellowship in developmental disability leadership at the Boling Institute of Developmental Disabilities in Memphis, Tenn.
Since completing her doctorate, she has focused her efforts on families of individuals with developmental disabilities of genetic origin. She serves on the Mississippi State Department of Health Genetics Advisory Board. Additionally, she has taught in the undergraduate, master's and doctoral programs, focusing on child health, pathophysiology, theory, philosophy, qualitative research, concept-based curriculum and problem-based learning.
