Kristi Wilson has served as a clinical instructor at the University of Mississippi School of Nursing in the clinical simulation center since 2013. Prior to becoming a faculty member, she was the nurse educator in the simulation center at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. In 2012, she became a certified clinical simulation instructor from Penn State College of Medicine. In addition, she has also been an instructor with the School of Health Related Professions at UMMC, where she taught Health and Disease through distance learning. She is a 2005 associate degree in nursing graduate from Alcorn State University and a 2011 BSN graduate and 2012 MSN (Nurse Educator track) graduate from Chamberlain College of Nursing. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Nursing at the UMMC School of Nursing.Prior to becoming a faculty member, she worked primarily in emergency nursing and simulation education. She is a member of the Mississippi Nurses Association, Emergency Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, Society for Simulation in Healthcare and Society of Trauma Nurses. She is a Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) instructor, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) instructor and Basic Life Support (BLS) instructor. She has also co-authored several peer-reviewed publications. Her special interests are emergency nursing and simulation education.
