    Dr. de Delva is a thoracic surgeon with interest in minimally invasive lung and esophageal procedures. He is a 1998 graduate of the University of Florida, where he earned the bachelor's degree. He attended the Emory University School of Medicine and graduated with the MD in 2002. He completed a residency in general surgery and thoracic surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. He also completed two externships, one at the Mayo Clinic in general thoracic surgery and one at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in minimally invasive esophageal surgery.

    He is member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the American Medical Association and the American College of Surgeons. He also is a published researcher, co-authoring articles that appeared in the Annals of Thoracic Surgery and the European Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery.
