    Scott F. Coffey, PhD

    Dr. Coffey completed a BS in Psychology from Arizona State University and a PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Mississippi. He completed a postdoctoral research fellowship, funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, focusing on posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and addictions. Dr. Coffey's research interest include the treatment of PTSD, substance use disorders, and the concurrent treatment of these conditions. In addition, Dr. Coffey is interested in the role of emotion and impulsivity in substance dependence and uses laboratory models (e.g., cue reactivity) to elucidate the role of these constructs in the maintenance of substance use disorders.   

    Julie A. Schumacher-Coffey, PhD

    Dr. Schumacher completed a BA in Psychology at Stanford University, and completed a MA and PhD from Stony Brook, State University of New York. She completed a postdoctoral research fellowship, funded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, focusing on etiology of alcoholism. Dr. Schumacher's research interest are in the areas of treatment dissemination, drug and alcohol abuse, and violent behavior. In addition, Dr. Schumacher leads a project focusing on improving dissemination of evidence-based psychological interventions.
