Successful candidates will practice clinical pediatric health care, provide clinical instruction to medical students and residents, and provide patient care, specifically managing disease in children in Mississippi at Batson Children's Hospital and its clinics in Jackson or at our off campus sites located at UMMC Grenada or North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Applicant must possess a medical degree and have completed pediatrics residency and fellowship in pediatric area of specialty. The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking a candidate for a full-time position in developmental and behavioral pediatrics. Applicants must be board-certified in pediatrics and BC/BE in developmental/behavioral pediatrics with three to five years of experience. This position includes providing comprehensive care for infants, children and adolescents with a wide range of developmental and behavioral disorders with a special emphasis in the areas of early intervention, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders. The physician will also participate in a multi-disciplinary evaluation team and in medical education to both medical students and residents. Candidates interested in a potential leadership position are encouraged to apply. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience.
The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Critical Care is seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care physician (dual trained in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Critical Care) to add to their current division of 10. We staff a 30-bed multidisciplinary Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, with approximately 1,600 admissions/year. We are the only tertiary care center for the state, treating a variety of critically ill and injured patients, including post-op general surgical, neurosurgical, orthopedic, ENT and plastics patients. In addition, our congenital heart surgical program performs approximately 350 - 400 congenital heart surgeries per year. We also have a busy ECMO program for both respiratory and cardiac support. We teach critical care fellows, pediatric and emergency medicine residents and are assisted by nurse practitioners.

The Pediatric Neurology Division at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) is seeking a pediatric neurologist at the assistant, associate or professor level to join a current practice of four pediatric neurologists. Current faculty have additional pediatric training in neurogenetics/metabolism, epilepsy and neuromuscular diseases. In addition, our division has a pediatrician, two pediatric neurology nurse practitioners and a dietitian. We also have excellent training programs in pediatrics, neurology, child neurology and clinical neurophysiology, in addition to educational missions in our medical school and neurosurgery residency.
The Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital at UMMC is the primary site of clinical practice and is the only children's hospital in the state with a full array of specialty services. Our division provides inpatient and outpatient neurological consultations, with management of both general child neurology and more complex cases. We also staff a four-bed Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit with plans for expansion. We are also in the process of building a new Pediatric Neurophysiology Lab in the Children's Hospital.

Candidates should have an D.O., M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. and be board-certified/eligible in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology. Salary is commensurate with experience. J-1 Visas are accepted.
