    Dr. Graves graduated summa cum laude in 1996 from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor of arts in honors biology. He then received his MD from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in May 2000. He subsequently completed his orthopedic surgery residency at UMMC's Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation in June 2005.

    During his residency, he completed an AO-ASIF fellowship with Dr. Jeffrey Mast in bioregenerative hip surgery and post-traumatic deformity correction. Following his residency, Graves completed an Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship at the University of Washington/Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA. He is active in orthopedic research and has authored or co-authored many published articles. He presents both nationally and internationally on his specialty of orthopedic trauma.

    Graves serves as the orthopedic surgery residency program director. He is an assistant professor in our department and sees patients for trauma-related injuries.
