      Dr. Ghafar was the Irwin White Research Fellow in the Department of Urology at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in 2000-02 with an emphasis on identifying genetic markers and urodynamic parameters of voiding dysfunction and bladder outlet obstruction. He has clinical interests in medical and minimally invasive urogynecology, fecal incontinence, sacral neuromodulation, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, laparoscopic and vaginal reconstructive surgeries.
