    PGY 1 applications

    Please submit applications online using the ERAS and registration with the NRMP. Application requirements for the ERAS online submission are listed below.

    Application requirements via ERAS

    • Common application form
    • Personal statement
    • Medical school transcript
    • MSPE/dean's letter
    • Three letters of recommendation
      • A minimum of two should be from neurosurgeons
      • You may submit a fourth letter if you wish
    • Photograph
    • USMLE transcripts (if applicable)
    • ECFMG status report (international medical graduates only)

    Application deadline

    The final deadline is Nov. 1, 2012. We consider applications as they arrive, so we recommend that you submit your application as early as possible.

    Interview invitations

    Interview invitations will be offered via e-mail with follow-up printed documentation as needed. You will be invited to visit on one of the two pre-scheduled dates listed below. There will be slots for all applicants invited to interview. If you must cancel your interview, please notify us at as soon as possible so we can reschedule.

    International medical graduates

    International medical graduates must secure an ECFMG sponsored J-1 visa or a green card and must have a Social Security number before applying to the program.
