Dr. Ann Marie Butler Kemp joined the UMMC Department of Family Medicine faculty in 2010, and is currently a professor and associate director of the residency program. She was previously on faculty at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Ga., for eight years and served as an associate director of the family medicine residency program there prior to moving to Mississippi. She was also certified as a Civil Surgeon by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service in 2016, and performs immigration physicals.
She received her MD degree in 1998 from the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine, where she also completed her family medicine residency in 2001. She is also a registered pharmacist and received her pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia in 1994.
Dr. Kemp is certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She has a joint appointment as associate professor with the School of Pharmacy.6
