The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center invites applications for two new tenure-track positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Candidates must hold a PhD, PharmD and/or MD degree and will be expected to develop an extramurally funded research program and participate in our teaching program in the area of neuropharmacology.

Preference will be given to those applicants with active extramural funding and research interests in the development of new treatments for dementia, neurodegenerative diseases and stroke. We are also interested in recruiting candidates with research programs in cell signaling or clinical pharmacology. Serious consideration will also be given to outstanding applicants from other areas that are complementary to the department's current research efforts in cardiovascular, renal and cancer drug development.
