    Competitive admissions

Due to a limited class size, the program involves a competitive admissions process. Please click here for the minimum admissions criteria, including standards for educational prerequisites. In addition, the general admission requirements of the institution and school must also be met.

    Mississippi residents

Preference will be given to applicants who are legal residents of Mississippi. Out-of-state applicants will be considered only if there are positions available after all qualified Mississippi applicants are accepted.

Test of English as a Foreign Language

Since verbal and written communication skills are vital to success in the academic programs in the School of Health Related Professions, applicants whose native language is not English are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) examination and to demonstrate competence in written and spoken English. Information on the TOEFL examination may be obtained from the Educational Testing Service, Princeton, NJ 08540.

To ensure awareness of the latest entrance requirements for the program, prospective students should visit the program's website and review the published admission policies and associated criteria for the application procedure. Additionally, students are encouraged to contact the Office of the Student Records and Registrar or the School of Health Related Professions for more specific information regarding applications, prerequisites, tuition and fees, or other program admission requirements.
