Dr. Jason Griggs and Brannon Myrick
Brannon Myrick received the School of Dentistry Quintessence Award for Research at the SOD Awards Day on April 19, 2016.
Myrick received this honor for his many combined achievements during his time in the DMD program. Myrick was the Thomas P. Hinman Student Research Award winner in 2014 and presented a poster on "Tooth Structure Removed by Hand Instruments, Magnetostrictive and Piezoelectric Ultrasonics" at the American Association for Dental Research Annual Meeting in 2013.

Kendra Clark (D2)- "3D Spheroid Models for Functional Evaluation of Endothelial Cell Differentiation"
The ADA/Dentsply Student Clinician Award is given to one student each year to attend the ADA/Dentsply Student Clinician Research Program. The honoree is also awarded a plaque on Awards Day.

Jiman Nelson (D2)- "Modification and Characterization of Anodized Titanium for Dental and Orthopedic Implants"
The Hinman Student Research Symposium is a national meeting that features oral and poster presentations of research studies by dental students and graduate trainees from dental schools across North America. One student representative from each dental school across the nation is chosen to attend the meeting, held every year at the historic Peabody Hotel in Memphis, TN.
