    Message:The University of Mississippi School of Dentistry is seeking applicants for the position of Chair in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Community Oral Health. This full-time administrative and clinical faculty position is being solicited at the professor/associate professor rank and is eligible for both tenure and non-tenure tracks. The department is responsible for the didactic and clinical instruction of both pre-doctoral students and pediatric dental residents. Responsibilities include administratively managing the department; representing the department through university, professional and community involvement; serving in the didactic, pre-clinical and clinical instructor settings for a wide range of pediatric dentistry topics; and actively participating in faculty practice/patient care. Applicants must be experience and/or able to deliver departmental and educational curricular content to pre-doctoral and post-doctoral students and to dental hygiene students. Applicants must be able to participate in the pre-clinical and clinical supervision of dental trainees in all aspects of pediatric dentistry. Expectations include the academic pursuit of personal and professional development/ teaching with a student-centered effectiveness and accessibility; a spirit of teamwork; collaboration and professionalism; responsibility and ethical participation in the educational process; and dental practice. Preference will be given for documented experience in administrative roles, dental education and pediatric patient care.
