The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) will offer a course this fall, "Learning Basic Medical Spanish," for anyone at UMMC interested in increasing their effectiveness in communicating with Spanish-speaking patients Wednesday, Sept. 7 - Friday, Dec. 16, 2022.

The course is provided in an online, self-paced format, including one live virtual training session. Topics include information on Hispanic culture, Spanish language, grammar, and medical terminology, and strategies for effective communication.

Class size is limited and registration is required (Deadline: Wednesday, Aug. 31).
