Volunteers needed for Children’s of Mississippi fitness event

Children's of Mississippi is seeking volunteers to help at Fitness Fest, a free interactive event that provides easy, fun activities for children and families, scheduled from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Mississippi Trade Mart in Jackson; 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Hattiesburg Zoo and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Mall at Barnes Crossing in Tupelo.

The deadline to sign up to volunteer is noon on Friday, Aug. 30 for the Trade Mart event; noon on Friday, Sept. 13 for the Hattiesburg event; and noon on Friday, Sept. 27 for the Tupelo event. Volunteers can sign up by visiting givegab.com/centers/ummc and those interested in hosting a booth can email Elizabeth Foster at efoster@umc.edu. Volunteers will receive a free lunch and Fitness Fest T-shirt.
