It is necessary to make your appointment at least 1 day in advance for the Gallios analyzer and 3 days in advance for the sorter. Also scheduling is on a first-come, first-served basis. Users are charged from the beginning of their reservation time. For the MoFlo XDP users are charged a minimum of 1 hour for instrument set up and alignment in addition to their actual sorting time.
All users are billed in 30-minute increments. For samples run by the operator, the investigators are charged for the data analysis time at the same rate of indicated above. The operator is not responsible for preparing figures for presentation and publications. The Kaluza software v1.2 is available at a separate workstation in R 607, and can be used free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note that the user fees are reviewed annually and subject to changes.
Users are encouraged to consult with the Flow Cytometry core personnel for help in designing new experiments. This consultation is free of charge.
All new users are expected to sign a User Agreement Form - one for the Gallios and another for the MoFlo XDP, whichever is applicable.

In order to prevent scheduling conflicts and maximize the use of the instruments we require cancellation notification 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. If we do not receive 24-hour cancellation notification for the Gallios analyzer and/or the MoFlo XDP sorter, the full time of the appointment will be charged.
The Gallios is available for use by investigators in two ways, either the facility staff will operate the instrument for the investigator or the investigator, after satisfactory completion of the in-house training course, may operate the instrument at a reduced cost. Regular hourly fees apply during training sessions; estimated minimum training time is four hours. We do not recommend that you take the training class unless you plan to do a substantial amount of analysis. The MoFlo XDP instrument is operated only by the Flow cytometry facility staff.
