    If you have questions or concerns about your rights as a volunteer in a research study please contact one of the Institutional Review Board Chairmen at or call 601-984-2815.


    The University of Mississippi Medical Center's Institutional Review Boards (IRB) and administrative office want to work in a cooperative and collegial manner with investigators at the University to fulfill their primary responsibility of protecting human research volunteers who participate in research at the University, and, at the same time, assist our research community. As in any team effort, misunderstanding, misinformation, or disagreements can sometimes develop. Resolving these conflicts in an efficient and collegial manner is essential to the overall IRB process. If you have questions, concerns or complaints about the service you received from us, you may contact the IRB Director,, or one of the IRB chairman for resolution. If your concern or complaint involves review of a specific study please contact the IRB chairman for the applicable IRB,

    Suspect noncompliance or have a concern?

    If you suspect an act of noncompliance, unapproved research involving human participants, or have a concern about research involving human participants, please contact us at or call 601 984-2815 to report the concern or suspected problem.
