    We welcome you to the UMMC team.  Understanding that as an incoming House Officer you have a great many things to manage, this section of the Human Resources website was created to assist in guiding you through the onboarding process.

    The links provided here allow you to not only complete and view the necessary benefits forms, but you may also view the presentation titled 2016 House Officer Benefits Orientation. There is a great deal of important and valuable information in the presentation, and it is required that each incoming house officer take the time to view it.

    Deadlines for forms submission

    Please submit all required paperwork via e-mail as soon as possible to allow us maximum time for processing due to the volume of new house officers all starting at the same time.

    The benefits enrollment process must be completed no later than July 25, 2016. Any actions made to complete the benefits enrollment process after that date will not be accepted

    • Failure to complete this process within 31 days from your date of hire will result in the forfeiture of your benefits.
    • You will be defaulted into the State and School Employees Health Insurance Base Plan for employee only coverage.  Any applicable dependents will not be covered.
    • You will be defaulted into the Public Employees Retirement System of Mississippi with regards to your chosen retirement plan.

    Any changes required after the above date with no applicable qualifying event must wait until Open Enrollment 2016, which is held during the month of October.  Any changes made during open enrollment will go into effect Jan. 1, 2017.

    Signing and submitting your forms

    All requisite benefit forms are fully digitized and may be completed using a digital signature. Please review this presentation for additional information regarding the creation of a digital ID and submitting the forms electronically. All forms should be saved to your computer and attached to an email addressed to (Cindy L. Drew) with NEW HOUSE OFFICER in the subject line.
