Barr tabbed to lead peds department

Dr. Rick Barr has been named chair of the Department of Pediatrics, effective July 1. He is currently endowed professor of pediatrics in pediatric critical care medicine at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, where he is also director of clinical and translational research.

Updating the faculty

Dr. Dan Jones, University of Mississippi chancellor, addresses the Medical Center faculty during the annual spring faculty meeting April 14 at the Norman C. Nelson Student Union. Jones, Dr. James Keeton, vice chancellor for health affairs, Dr. John Hall, associate vice chancellor for research, Dr. Helen Turner, associate vice chancellor for educational affairs, and Dr. Scott Stringer, associate vice chancellor for clinical affairs, provided updates for the University and the Medical Center and forecasts for the next fiscal year.

Evers receives nursing alumnus honor

Evers is a longtime supporter of the School of Nursing and the Medical Center.
