    Supported Web Browsers

    Currently the student portal (MyU - Student Web Portal) supports:

    It does NOT support Internet Explorer 10 yet. For best user experience, Firefox is recommended.

    Internet Explorer Users: follow the instructions found in Essential Guide to Internet Explorer Users to change your IE settings.

    Safari Users: please enable cookies in Safari.

    Common Issues with the MyU - Student Web Portal

    Logon Is Being Prepared/The System Says Something About Netweaver Login


    The message you are getting when you see the Netweaver Login is not the portal login, it is a backend operation due to either Internet Explorer cookie settings or Safari. Please read Essential Guide to Internet Explorer Users to change your Internet Explorer settings.

     

    I Can't Log on to MyU - Student Web Portal/Authentication failed


    There are various possibilities:

    1. You are trying to log on to a wrong portal. Check the address being used to log in is https://myU.umc.edu.
    2. Your account is temporarily locked as a result of too many failed attempts. Please wait one hour if you have tried 4 or more times already.
    3. You entered wrong password. To check it, go to https://webmail.umc.edu to see if you can log in successfully using the same password. If no, please reset your password. 

      If neither of the above, go to https://elearning.umc.edu/webapps/login/ to check if you can log in to Blackboard. If yes, wait one hour before you try again to log on the student portal. If no, please contact the Service Desk.

     

    No Portal Roles Are Assigned


    Please wait one more day to let SAP complete the process of creating your account. If you still have the problem next day please contact Service Desk.

     

    Access Denied


    If you have been logged on to the student portal for more than 30 minutes you may want to log out and log in again. If the issue persists, or you have just logged on, please follow the instructions found in Essential Guide to Internet Explorer Users to change your Internet Explorer settings.

     

    No Match Found When Trying to Get Network Logon ID


    Likely your admission record is not updated in the student system. You can contact Registrar's Office for your admission status. Note your account will not be ready until next morning your admission application is approved in the student system. Contact Service Desk if it is not the case.

     

    Weekly Portal Maintenance

    The backend servers of the student portal are down for maintenance from 6:00am to 7:30am on each Friday. Please do not use the portal during this period.
