Degree and Accreditation
Students who satisfactorily complete the program will be awarded the Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Mississippi and are eligible to apply to take the examination for licensure to practice as a physical therapist in all 50 states.
The licensure pass rate for the last three years is 100%. Alumni passing the exam were employed within three months of graduation.
The physical therapy program is accredited by:

- The physical therapy program has a policy for addressing program complaints that excludes complaints for which there is an established university, school or program policy or procedure, such as grade appeals, academic dismissal appeals or allegations of racial, sexual or gender harassment. For filing a complaint against the department, submit a written statement to:

There will be a response to the complaint within 10 working days. However, for comments or concerns about the physical therapy program related specifically to one or more of the Evaluative Criteria, to the Statement on Integrity in Program Closure, or to the Statement of Integrity in Accreditation, contact CAPTE and they will provide you with the appropriate forms and information.
