    Do HIIM applicants need an observation in a health information management department?

    No. Observations are no longer required.

    Do HIIM prerequisites include biology or zoology?

    The only science prerequisites for HIIM are Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II, with labs. Biology and zoology are not required, but may be taken as electives.

    When and where can I get an application?

    Applications are available online by July 1 of the year preceding enrollment.  Application deadlines vary from program to program and are subject to change. All applicants pay a nonrefundable application fee of $25.
